The Different Types of Wooden Windows
Heritage and traditional timber windows are of several styles, usually described in terms relating to the type of sash (i.e. the seperate light frame of a window carrying the glass)
For Example:
(1) Casement Sash, usually hinged on the side of the frame.
(2) Awning Sash, frequently hinged on top of frame.
(3) Double Hung Sash, side verically in a box frame in guides called beads and supported by ropes and weights.
